A Wisdom Nomad

We replace “doing” for another with “being” for another.

We're women of strength and grace who embrace the lessons of our stories. We accept the wisdom that experience teaches us, and we let the remnants fall. To us, the tides of life always reveal fresh ground.

We heal our wounds. We are victor, not victim; feeler, not suppressor; gatherer, not oppressor.

We move with grace. Patience, forgiveness, humility, compassion — these guide our connections. Circumstances drop away; what matters to us is what we learn from them.

As I’ve heard others say, “Life happens for us, not to us.”

This is the beauty of true womanhood — hearing each other’s stories, seeing one another’s wholeness and worth, and lifting each other to understand and feel it.

The push to accomplish more or to do enough, and the temptation to compare or to prove ourselves, drop away. What emerges is a call to share our wisdom and to live within our own powerful alignment. We replace “doing” for another with “being” for another.

This week,  I was deeply touched by a beautiful blog post from Honest Heart sister, Laurie Benson about grieving her old life. In it, she says,

“If I accept, and step into the new, I know that I will be occupying a space that I have truly been longing for my whole life. A space of complete acceptance for who I was and who I am becoming.

This is my feminine rising. The masculine traits of pushing and finding my value in my accomplishments can no longer hold power. I’m being challenged to fully embody the Divine Feminine.”

Can change and new beginnings leave us vulnerable? You bet! It’s hard, intentional work that asks us to be honestly self-aware, to humbly yield limitations accepted by a false ego, and to walk into the fullness of Love – both God’s, and our own. To stand side-by-side within another’s radiance and celebrate it with no comparison to our own.

I encourage you to reach out to a sister friend in your life this week to tell her how her journey has inspired and blessed you.
